Don't bother. I know that the moon landings really happened, because the laser reflectors that our boys left on the Moon are still there and can be pinged by observatory-based lasers.

Besides, anyone who has seen that old Gregory Peck/Gene Hackman movie Marooned knows that even the best film special effects available in 1969 couldn't convincingly fake space travel. (Marooned won the visual effects Oscar® that year).

I agree the moon landings weren't faked, but as to your SFX comment, there was this little movie released in 1968 you may have heard of. It's called "2001: A Space Odyssey." Those FX were beyond impressive.
