STATEMENT FROM MCCAIN-PALIN SPOKESWOMAN MEG STAPLETON
Friday, October 10, 2008
ARLINGTON, VA McCain-Palin 2008 spokeswoman Meg Stapleton issued the following statement on todays release of Stephen Branchflowers report:
Todays report shows that the Governor acted within her proper and lawful authority in the reassignment of Walt Monegan. The report also illustrates what weve known all along: this was a partisan led inquiry run by Obama supporters and the Palins were completely justified in their concern regarding Trooper Wooten given his violent and rogue behavior. Lacking evidence to support the original Monegan allegation, the Legislative Council seriously overreached, making a tortured argument to find fault without basis in law or fact. The Governor is looking forward to cooperating with the Personnel Board and continuing her conversation with the American people regarding the important issues facing the country.

Thanks again. I am humbly in the FReepers’ debt...
Perhaps it's just karma... recompense for our long years suffering in the wilderness...
Yeah, didja like the way she dumped on that Sheriff in Fla for having the unmitigated audacity to mention BHO’s middle name?
It must be hell for you to hang out here.
Two words: Susan Estrich
I thought it was a great response . I don’t know you , i don’t care who it was aimed at , i enjoyed the turn of a phrase.
I'd love to be proved wrong, Boxer is as moronic as our Senators out here.
Apparently we’re heading for a few more years of that. It’s a good thing we’re hermits?
Ok, that was just uncalled for.
Thank You!!!
i just googled it. and here’s the most probable source: wikipedia.
>In the 1992 general election, Herschensohn, well-known as a Los Angeles area television commentator, was defeated by the Democrat, U.S. Representative Barbara Boxer. It is widely believed that the revelation just prior to the election that Herschensohn had attended a strip club undermined his prospects of victory. However, Herschensohn still ran ahead of U.S. President George H.W. Bush, who was badly beaten in the California balloting by Democrat Bill Clinton.<
does that sound like an accurate report?
The only reason I will vote for McCain is that I don't want a marxist in the presidency.

Dang, you are pathetic.
All I know is that after years of Lisa Douglas squawking in his ear, Huffington went gay. Eh.
“She will have ignited the conservative base no matter what the outcome of the election.”
That is indisputably true. I hope she sticks to her guns (so to speak!) and holds true to her conservatism after this election.
As for your last comment, it doesn’t deserve a response.
Yeah, dittos to that.
Have faith, old friend. Best-case scenarios have been known to happen. And if not? Well, we survived BillyJeff... and FDR... and Taft... and Johnson (ok, both)... and Wilson... and Jefferson (I've always been an Adams man)...
Last time I checked the election is THREE weeks away, not four days like your example. And McCain/Palin’s camp responded with a concise effective statement. She should NOT go on and on about this in press conferences or interviews...all that does is keep a non issue alive. Seriously, this report is nothing.
I think the wikipedia entry is likely referring to what I read back in 92. That’s when I read the information. Thanks for the info, if you turn up anything else, I’d love to know.
yes, sir!
