McCain Says No Need To Fear Obama, Calls On Supporters To Be "Respectful"
TPM ^ | 10/10/2008 | Greg Sargent

Posted on 10/10/2008 5:20:07 PM PDT by markomalley

After taking criticism for standing by for days while his supporters grew increasingly unhinged and hysterical, John McCain did the right thing today, telling his supporters that there's no need to be "scared" of a president Obama and calling on them to be "respectful" towards him.

We have two videos for you from the same event. Here's vid of McCain saying that you needn't fear Obama: "He is a decent person, and a person that you do not have be scared as President of the United States"...

“I have to tell you, he is a decent person and a person that you do not have to be scared of as president of the United States.”

Sounds like someone introducing Obama at a rally, not his opponent with 24 days to go.

McCain Says No Need To Fear Obama

Sorry, senator, but, you're absolutely wrong.

And, frankly, senator, that was one of the stupidest moves you've made up till now.

If you really want to lose this election by a very wide margin, continue helping the enemy.

I feel really sorry for Sarah Palin out there who seems to be the only one taking on the most dangerous candidate to ever compete for the presidency.

You senator, made a good pick with Sarah, but frankly, you don't deserve her on your side. She deserves better.

Wrong John, he is against everything American. Against everything good people stand for and believe in. He and his wife are no less than the END of America as we know it if they are allowed to ascend to power. Take a stand and stop this John !!!! You have the power to change minds if you speak the truth and take them to task for their ignorance - and that of the American populace.

Does he want to WIN or what ??

I don't think so. I've been wavering in the past couple of weeks whether to vote at all in the Presidential election- I'm now leaning towards not voting.

McCain already lived 5 years with Obama’s ideological allies. Stockholm syndrome, perhaps?

McCain is clueless. Try living in North Korea John.

Why? He lived in North Vietnam for 5 years.

I agree with McCain. Everyone seems to be treating Barack with respect. The argument for the disqualification of Obama as President on the grounds that his only executive experience is his four years of working for a guy who bombed the Capitol and the Pentagon is a valid argument and is so significant that it does not require vitriol. The problem is that journalists are colluding with the Obama campaign to cover it up. The Obama campaign is chilling free speech by taking legal action against anyone who dares publicly air the facts. The vitriol and rage seems to be coming more from the Obama campaign and their media cheerleaders.

I can see why he would say it, but I sure wish he hadn't.

But, let's be real. This puts McCain off the hook, where he should be, meaning Sarah the Pitbul can go for it. So can we all. McCain is just saying, go for it!!!! And the dims can't prove it. Perfect!!!!!

“I’m beginning to think the “unhinged McCain supporters” are Obamabots planted in the audience for convenient sound bites to be picked up by the Media.”

Of course they are. I mean the one that screamed “he’s an Arab” was just too obvious.
Now you watch Obama’s people will plant these same types in his own rallies only they will be calling McCain names. Then Obama will deal with them in his own scripted way.

This Obama gang is clever but not in a good way. Just flat-out EVIL!

What I'm afraid of is that McIdiot is too stupid to be president. OK Johnny-boy, just win the election and turn it over to Sara. She'll know what to do.
