This lady reminds me of when I was a single mom teaching at a charter school. The principal who paid my salary and knew how much I made personally gave me the Free and Reduced Lunch form and told me to fill it out for my daughter who also went to school there. I told him my income was too high and that I had already looked at the chart and knew this. He said “Just fill it out anyway. We can get you in.” Of course I didn’t fill it out. A lot of the schools’ funding is based on what percentage Free Lunch kids they have, so they drive up the numbers just like this lady was saying about the WIC program. This particular school had like 85% free and reduced lunch, so I was messing up their numbers.
