That's what happens when one goes to a third world country instead of my beautiful Maui.

Maui as in "Hawaii"?

********

Kill Haole Day ..... In Hawaii's schools, the last day of school before summer was traditionally known as Kill Haole Day. In the Hawaiian language, a haole means "foreign" or "foreigner," and on Kill Haole Day, school children of Hawaiian ancestry harass, and sometimes assault white children. The origins of the day are unknown, but the tradition dates back to the 1950s.

********

Kill Haole Day is an annual ritual in Hawaiian public schools in which any haoles, or Caucasians, that dare to come to school are beat up by non-haole locals. .... Traditionally, this day is observed on the last day of classes. Consequently, many haoles call in sick lest they get their alaalas (testicles) pulverized during Physical Education by Waianae's angriest Samoans or get chased home after school by raging packs of mokes and blalas (unsavory types). Public school administrators claim that the traditional beat downs given out on the last day of classes have subsided in recent years, but that could be window dressing as teachers have been known to literally walk away from racial violence.

I'll take Door Number 3.

Like I say, I’ve been here for 40 years and my two daughters went through all the grades here. That kill Haole day thing is a bunch of crap. Yes it was going around but more like a joke. No Haole ever got killed here although a few with smart mouths and and attitude got roughed up a bit. 99% of the time those few had it coming (whether haole’s or any other race). Don’t believe all that you hear or read.
