They didn’t in 2006 and it showed. And they didn’t in 2000 and it showed.

In 2006 the election was about corruption and even with that, the GOP held their losses to the normal 6 year cycle.

On the national level, Evangelicals are excited about Palin(one of their own) and having a crack at the Supreme Court-there may be as many as 3 openings.

Obama is far too radical to be elected President and even Hillary knew that and tried to position herself as a centrist candidate.

I understand all these arguments. And they sort of make me feel better, intellectually. But...in the gut...I fear that Obama is in the driver’s seat and that McCain is reacting, and not always competently.

We shall press onward for the next several weeks!
