Why can’t we admit the Constitution made a mistake and start electing justices?
We have that in NY. It's a disaster.
There’s no good answer. If you elect justices, then you will get a few Obamas and Clintons on the court. Or Slick Willies. Or people who know as much about law as I know about Japanese Macroeconomics. It would be a real mess, and the SCOTUS is way to powerful as it is. We need to work on reigning in it’s power.
