It's about as lost as the one Harry Reid was referring to. Election day is still 29 days away, FRiend. Nothing is lost until after the polls close.
BTW, how are things over in the desert?
Ah, this relates to the previous comment. ;-) Things are relatively peaceful and calm, the Iraqis are taking more and more of their security functions over and doing quite a good job, and the rebuild is clipping right along. The Parliament is getting better and better at working together to achieve solutions that appeal to the general population.
Many of the refugees who fled the violence and sectarian tensions are coming home.
The streets are busy, the shops, restaurants and parks are crowded, construction is going on all over town and this has become quite a happy place. It smells like victory!
The election is not lost any more than Iraq was lost even though it looked very dark and formidable in those days.
Hang in there, FRiend and keep the faith.
I'll try. I just get so dang frustrated with ALL politicians and especially the media. They've beat me down pretty good. Thanks for the peptalk.
