Before her campaign plane took off for a Sunday fundraiser here, CBS News asked Sarah Palin to respond to an analysis by the Associated Press that concluded her attempts to establish a friendship between Barack Obama and Weather Underground member William Ayers were “unsubstantiated and carried a racially tinged subtext that John McCain himself may come to regret.”
"The Associated Press is wrong,” Palin said. “The comments are about an association that has been known but hasn't been talked about, and I think it’s fair to talk about where Barack Obama kicked off his political career, in the guy's living room.”

But the better question to ask is what difference would it make if Ayers were Black? An unrepentant terrorist would smell the same by any other color...rotten. Ayers and his wife hosted a fundraiser for Obama when he began his career. That counts as palling around in my view.

I read somewhere yesterday that Mac is not going to bring up the Rev. Wright. All the others yes, but not Wright. wonder why? Is the right rev. going to out obama himself? It's important to recognize that Michelle (and Bernadine Dorhn) may well be the key link in all this.
In 1988, Michelle went to work for Sidley & Austin. Bernadine Dohrn also worked for Sidley & Austin at this time.
In 1989, Barack interned at Sidley & Austin, where Michelle was assigned as his advisor.
In 1992, Barack and Michelle were married by Rev. Jeremiah Wright -- her pastor -- in her church, Trinity United Church of Christ.
The Michelle-Bernadine link actually precedes the Barack-Ayers link. And, after reading Michelle's graduate thesis, is there any doubt that Bernadine Dohrn's radical views wouldn't have found favor with her?

I think the missing link goes back to college.
The arab that is suspected of funding bho’s college had links to the black panthers which had links to ayers.
I believe that is why we do not hear about the college years, maybe bho and ayers were roomies.
