The problem is that guys like this will move to your state and try to change the gun laws to please themselves.
How right you are. I’m a middle aged female that taught concealed carry classes for many years here in SE Arizona. I always carry, and have had similar experiences when I have open carried. Our officers usually politely inform the out-of-state visitor that that’s the way we like it here.
Exactly, and hundreds of those people are moving to GA every day, especially to the sprawling Atlanta metro area where we already have far more than enough of our home grown variety.
OTOH, one of our problems here are the old segregation period gun laws that were written in ambiguous language so that cops and judges of that era could interpret them one way for whites and another way for blacks with a wink and a nod to the whites. The "public gathering" clause of our carry law is the most egregious of those that are still on the books, and we're trying to get that one repealed or modified by the General Assembly but haven't yet succeeded.
