The conservative stars are in it & as I was on the way to the movie I heard an interview by Kelsey Grammer by Michael Medved. The obvious question from Michael

good post .. thank you.

Saw it for second time today after church. Picked up on many things I missed in first go round. This movie is packed/loaded with material. someone said enough for 5 movies.. well, maybe. & Maybe not but there is a lot there .. one after another to make one smile

I did a Malone/Moore slap count & made a few observations.. however I left the notepad in my friend’s car (bummer). will be back

here is a link of the cast for those interested. Man the Rosie actress was good. I really thought it was her.

Had trouble finding a theater in my Central MA area that was showing it...found a Regal Cinema in Bellingham MA that had it listed, took my wife and daughter and found that they had a sign at the ticket counter, something to the effect, “Due to a scheduling change, we won’t be showing American Carol. See the management if you have any questions” We were extremely annoyed, all the other people coming in turned around too. It’s scary the extent of the control over the media being monolithically exercised by the left. I bet W will be on two screens at all these theaters.

I agree. It did fall flat. There were some parts that were funny, but most of it was just blah. Team America World Police was better.

IMO, I really wanted it to do well....Regardless, I supported it with two tickets...

Oh man, I am sorry to hear that. I hope you found something else to do as a family while there. (and there are a lot of other good movies to see IMHO)

I feel fortunate to have perhaps 10 big movie theaters w/in 1o miles
I am also relatively rural.. abut national park. Best of both worlds in a way ..

We have a lot of theaters showing it. the closest for me is 5 miles , which is the closest theater period

I liked team america but it was a different kind of movie.

I dont agree it fell flat. It carried a profound message & conveyed it well. No, it wasn’t the Simpsons or Borat.. it had its own persona & a good one

I took my three kids to see it; my youngest is almost 11 and my girls are teenagers. They loved it...I enjoyed it. I had to explain a few things prior to the movie so they would “get it.” They said they did.

No way! We love going to the movies, but we are going to boycot them for a while! This is outragous. I wonder what the story is, threatened lawsuits or boycotts? I wish everyone who wanted to see that movie and had to drive far or were turned away, will boycott these theater companies who are not showing it or showing it in select theaters. The ticket seller told us they were playin it in Fenway, which is in the heart of the back bay in Boston, with a large liberal and gay population, while, out here west of 495, it is not playing. Unbelievable! I hope FOX, Rush, Hannity, somebody picks up on this.

My kids and I went this afternoon. We live in Colorado Springs but the showing we went to was packed with a diverse crowd - older couples, young men, parents with their kids, etc. I was really pleased with the turn out.

I ;understand.

I have a very good relationdhip with management at our huge 24 Cinemark as we go to chruch there (and give alot of revenue to the movie).

They are very open to pleasing the people (as I guess your theater is also?).. but cant please everyone. It seems there is a line to cross between being fair & being (scarred) or pushed for unethical reasons which sounds like it might be the case.

The owner/manager might be in thick with Obama’s campaign

They possibly figure few will know about this movie( to complain).. which is the case here. NO publicity other than small display add the distributor has placed.

good you took the kids.. Lord knows they get enough of the Left indoctrination EACH & EVERY DAY

I have heard about the kids caution in seeing this movie.. I watched the second time thru today with that filter, at least a little in place.

The ONLY thing I saw ... and I don’t think it is THAT objectionable.. was little Tim (crippled) calling the Michael Malone (Moore) character Uncle Ass Hole.. In fact I thought it was very funny & made an interesting point which was a flow throught out the movie of him being IDd in various negative ways by various people he would like to have respect from

My soon to be 11-year-old son especially loved the “zombies.” I also explained to them before hand what others on here had said via reviews, etc. They were pretty well-informed and “got it.”

Tomorrow we’re going to see Fireproof; we rarely see movies but as a family we will gladly support conservative/Christian films.

I liked his office with all the little idiots wearing their hemp sweaters and rasta hats or whatever you call the crap that liberal morons wear on campus.

Also laughed at the demonstration chanting.

I think he portrayed the liberal point of view accurately.
