It appears that the prosecutors went out of their way to “throw the book” at OJ and stretch the meaning of various statutes to cover OJ’s seemingly rather limited crimes in this case. Just because so many people (including me) feel that OJ should be in jail for the murders, maybe it’s not good to establish a precedent of non-proportional justice based on what the authorities “know” someone got away with in a previous case.
