I’m back at a college reunion, and literally an hour ago walked into the downstairs room (the lone place with a TV around then) and commented to someone that I will forever remember that place as where I watched the OJ verdict. Bizarre to be back here 13 years later, in that room for the first time in over 12, and it be the day of the new verdict!
I was in middle school and watched the verdict on TV in class. The teacher did a poll. It was split down the middle between guilty and not guilty and one mistrial, which I was the one who voted for that. My middle school is predominately white middle and upper middle class.
I had similar recollections here.
