Amazing!

Sarah Palin trotted out her piece de resistance, her favorite prop of this campaign season: her five and a half month old son Trig.

It's bad for a mother to want to be with her baby??? I've seen the video of her daughters holding Trig, and that's not staged. This is a family filled with love and closeness, not planned props and staged movements. The problem here is that liberals can't imagine sincerity in a politician, so they assume the motives they would need if they were to do something so crass as allowing a child to intrude on their real life.

Why isn't this baby sleeping in a crib or bassinet somewhere with a sleep sheep or some other sound apparatus lulling him into night-night?

It's wrong that Sarah Palin, mother, thinks a real live person is better for baby than a 'sound apparatus'???

But the truth is, if she was just like all you other Moms out there, America, then she'd know the best thing she can do for this infant is to make sure he is tucked safely in his bed and out cold at eleven pm.

Has this woman ever been a mother, or if so did she interact with her own child before the nanny had the child fully raised??? At that age, an awake baby will stay awake and will benefit from something interesting to watch, whether it's bright lights or Mommy ripping into a stuffy old guy, and a sleepy baby can sleep through the monotonous noise of a debate. Any real parent would know that was not a problem, even without considering the time zone change and that Trig is probably up at 6:30 pm Alaska time anyways.

Apparently she has, but you wouldn't know it by reading her article, would you? That goes to the second part of your question. Without a doubt, if she really believed this nonsense that infants should be "out cold at 11pm" (nevermind that it was something like 6pm alaska time) then she's never raised an infant herself. They're on their own schedule and they don't care if it's noon or midnight, nor do they care if you have to go to work the next morning, which I'm sure is why she offloaded her offspring onto the nearest nanny from day one. A real parent would know better. Baby goes with you, wherever you go.
