Perhaps Suzy does not realize that ordinary mothers and families like to have their babies around being passed from lap to lap instead of being put to bed by a nanny. Typical feminist crap saying she is using him as a prop. She is really doing us a favor by enraging real mothers.

Stimulation and human touch are necessary for all children, but especially for a child with Down’s Syndrome. I have little personal experience with these children, but everyone I know who has, loves them, as they are warm, loving, sweet human beings. The young adults I have met with this condition are certainly that way.

I think a lot of women are just furious that here is a young woman, a standard bearer for her generation, who marches to a different drummer than the one they tried to inculcate. Sarah walks the walk of traditional womanhood. She has inborn, natural star quality. It cannot be bought, just as her beauty cannot be manufactured in the OR. And her obviously happy and healthy family is a testimony to the love and faith of Sarah and Todd. This should not need explaination. It does, however, offend the elitists.

Too bad.
