Proof of a meeting between Barack Obama and the Iraqi-born billionaire, Nadhmi Auchi, would be a blow for the Illinois senator's presidential campaign. Obama has repeatedly said that he cannot recollect any meeting with Auchi, a London-based businessman who is appealing a conviction for fraud in France. Auchi was a business contact of Antoin Rezko, a former Chicago developer and Obama fundraiser currently on trial for corruption.

If you met one of the world’s richest men, you’d remember it. And you’d remember if you didn’t.
Does the Washington (Com)Post know something we don’t? Are they about to throw Obama under the bus? Nah!

The article doesn’t really say much about Auchi other than he’s one of the Worlds richest men does it.
I read an article awhile back that gave more insight into Auchi, but cannot find the article anymore. It outlined his legal council, whom they were and how they protect his privacy. The article noted Auchi’s history from International arms (gun running) sales, to banking ventures, to his association with the Baath Party and Sadam Hussein from his earliest days prior to becoming the Dictator of Iraq, to his days in the end as Oil Minister for Sadam during the UN oil for food scandal.
That article also mentioned the state of Rezko’s vast indebtedness to Auchi, as well how Auchi garnered a huge percentage of some development Rezko was working on at the time as repayment of some of that debt.
There’s much more I can remember of that article, but I feel obliged to provide a link for all FReepers to read and consider themselves. I cannot find the damned article anywhere anymore. Might have been pulled.
Obama has denied or lied about everyone he knows at this point. He can’t remember 20 years of Wright’s cursing America so how can he be expected to remember one meeting. Of course it would be best to have a President with a better memory than that!!

The dem poobahs had better be doing some serious retroactive vetting of their messiah. It’s going to be a long bloody four years if a boatload of scandal, investigations and criminal indictments start coming down on him after he takes the oath of office.

That’s why they so thoroughly defenestrated (kicked out window) John Edwards after the love child scandal finally could no longer be held back. He knew what was coming, yet stayed in the campaign long enough to hobble Hillary. If he had become Obama’s veep choice it would have brought down the campaign.

My prayer is that Rezko sings quick enough to implicate Obama. I know that's a long shot but that is my prayer.
I’m wondering if some dem power brokers know enough to be sufficiently panicked to actually want to expedite the process and take down the messiah before he leads them back into that old briar patch.
