That right there is one more reason why McCain needs to get Rove on board. Whoever is advising McCain and Palin has been giving them piss-poor advice. Both Palin and McCain have made mistakes that should not have been made during a debate. There's times where both had their opponent on their heels, and they backed off or wimped out. Biden on the other hand had no problem knocking the win out of Palin a few times and he pressed the issue - she stood up to him and handled it well, but the contrast was huge. McCain should have destroyed Obama last week.

McCain is a lousy debater. He just recites his stump speech and doesn't listen to his opponent, which causes him to miss many opportunities. McCain became fixated with earmarks when the real subject was the economy and the bailout. He had all the ammunition to take out Obama in a target rich environment. He missed and the polls reflected it.
