Strange. The Dems are against oil because of carbon dioxide emissions, but they favor "clean coal"? I'm a little confused. Is there some new way of burning coal (carbon) with air (oxygen) that doesn't release roughly the same amount of CO2 as generating the same amount of energy from oil? What are they thinking? My s-in-l's husband is bossing a crew installing reactive scrubbers at a coal plant. They have cut back and sent some crews home with the recent political climate. He told me last weekend that they could shutdown until the next FY.

The Dems do NOT support clean coal, except in this election. Clinton shut down the second largest source of clean coal in the world, put it off limits, permanently, in favor of his friends in Indonesia.
