Why not at least wait until tomorrow to decide?
Tonight may change the whole ballgame.

As long as John keeps his mouth shut and Sarah leads we still have a chance.

it shocks me that so many FReepers are so willing to believe every story posted here (except polls that show us down)... we ought to wait and see if this is even true... there have been several times some story was posted, everyone got up in arms and down right mad at McCain... only to have the story be false rumor...

All due respect, I think that would seal the coffin shut. For cryin' out loud...she has gotten progressively worse with each television appearance, with maybe the exception being the interview with Hannity. Since when did it become a good idea for a VP candidate to commandeer the ticket, anyway? Cheney at least had the good sense to work from the shadows, without being perceived as the top billing.

McCain will win if he can make a case that his vote on the bailout benefits the average American and small business owner. He will win if he stays on point about the leadership needed in the face of the GWOT. He'll win if he can learn to take a breath and smile before he speaks -- because, frankly, he comes across as more and more unfriendly and even erratic every day.

McCain won't get elected by looking pissed-off, exasperated or defensive. He won't get elected by projecting weakness, and he won't get elected by shoving Palin out in front of him as a second- or third-tier substitute for himself.

She plays well to her base, but we need more than that to win -- we need Independents and moderate conservatives. She's not exactly drawing them in droves, because she's not the one who possesses that demographic appeal -- HE is.
