That does not describe neo-nicotinoids.  The compounds in question are long lasting and stay in the systemic environment for multiple seasons.
 
 
Nicotine good; Dr. Frankenstein's New and Improved, long lasting Super Nicotine, evidently not so good.

Predation and adaptive antigens?  You're at least as likely to find problems with those among commercial food crops which have no variation; probably more so.

No, I'm just a pesky Kulak at heart; and so I'll keep my victory garden as a hedge against subsidized collectivized/corporatized farming.

Hey no prob! But just don’t throw your wooden shoes into the gears, FRiend! The cogs are stronger.

And my garden is handy, too. But if wheat and soybeans fail universally through the heartland then it don’t matter what you will have once had in your garden, as none of us will be around to eat it.
