Kathleen Parker is in favor of abortion being enshrined as a legal “right”.
Sarah Palin presents an immense danger to that position.
They just love using labels to mislead people. For instance, they treat Rush Limbaugh as if he's a "journalist" and expect him to be "an unbiased reporter". Then when he blows them out of the water on an issue using his Conservative principles, he gets re-labeled as "just an entertainer."

I was just going by what was posted on FR yesterday about her being a supporter of Romney and how she was apparently upset when he wasn’t chosen for VP.

Parker is an utter moron, or she has been living in a cave this past year. Does she really think that someone like Barry, surrounded or supported as he is by the likes of Michelle “American is downright mean” Obama, Fr. Pfleger, Rev. Wright, Farrakhan, Ayers, Dohrn, Rezko, the whole chorus of left-wing moonbats, et al., is going to bring any kind of healing or peace to this country?
Why'd you do that? Townhall is one of the best conservative sites on the web. You should have let it be known that you disapprove of KP and state that you would no longer read her articles, but don't cancel the subscription.

The only thing that having an opinion qualifies anyone to do is to express an opinion. Declaring someone qualified or unqualified for a particular position needs some greater rationale than an opinion.
My remark was addressed to the columnist, Parker, who declared Palin unqualified. And I often declare Obama unqualified, and have a long list of reasons for saying that.
Boy her standards are low if that's the case. Uhmmm, ehhhh, stutter, stutter...that's above my paygrade, Obama, who has had 18 months or so on the campaign trail to fine tune his goofy delivery; the same guy who did so poorly at the Saddleback Forum where spontaneity was a necessity, that his campaign had to accuse McCain of cheating....Palin has 2 months to fine tune her rhetorical abilities, she has a middling interview and Parker is bailing out and excoriating her. What a chump.

Parker's objection to intemperate words is perfectly justified. Her pretense that her words were not immediate ammunition for the Obama activists is either naive or disingenuous or both. She's welcome to her opinions and I'm welcome to ignore them from now on.
I was one of the ones who wrote her a polite e-mail in which I gave my reasons for supporting Sarah. I ended it, “With best wishes.”
I do not care whether she changes her mind or not. I now have a mental list of those who claim to be conservatives but are knifing Sarah. I will keep it in mind when I encounter their opinions in the future.
