I find accents, dialect, and language to be fascinating so this article was quite interesting, especially when you consider that many make a connection or assumption from how one speaks to their general intelligence. That is a mistake as far as SP is concerned, IMO.

Like Obama, except his “folksy” accent is purely fake. He never grew up anywhere that they spoke the way he does when stumping in flyover country. Dennis Prager made a point of playing him saying “policy” with O’Reilly, and “puhl-uh-say” the next day in the midwest.
