McCain blew it Friday night on the 2nd question of the debate.
“Do you support the bailout bill.”
It was a hanging curveball. Instead of saying clearly “here’s what I support” and going with the already on the table market based republican alternative, he hem-hawed around.
It was a hanging curveball; he should have sat on it and then smoked it into the bleachers. Instead, he swung feebly and missed.
I hate to say it but McCain could have won the election on this issue. He choked.
I think either Rudy or Mitt would have closed the election out Friday.
McCain stumbled around in the dark, grasping for in vain for a ‘bi-partisan’ hand.
