See page 33: Bill still includes provision for bailing out FOREIGN INVESTMENT BANKS with US Taxpayer Dollars! Deutche Bank, Credit Suisse, UBS, HSBC, Bank of China, etc...

Rush said the Republicans had NO SAY. We don’t have enough votes. The Dems could pass it without one Republican. They wanted them on board so they could share the stink, but it won’t matter if they are not.
I hope they yell and scream this afternoon, and that the blame sits right where it belongs.

Look at section 3, 9b
Distressed asset can mean ANYTHING. Car loans, Carbon derivatives. We can be bailing out Goldman Sachs for its substantial carbon positions.
And Why is “March 14, 2008” a significant date?
I guess congress will avoid these questions with a quick vote and no committee hearings, as apparently Bush, Paulson and Dem leaders in Congress have been plotting for some time.
