I love how the WSJ describes this as a fund for “housing projects”:

“A House staffer reached after the deal announcement was made confirmed that lawmakers did decide to drop the affordable housing fund proposals, which would have potentially directed billions to state and local governments to fund housing projects”

They just can’t bring themselves to mention ACORN.

I just got off the phone with Roy Blunt's office!

The guy there told me his understanding was that there was NO MONEY for ACORN in the bill.

I told him about FREEPers concern (he claims to know about Free Republic) about the top of page 22, where 65% of monies are given to a "Housing Trust Fund", and he said he would check on it...
