“WHERE IS MCCAIN”

He has not committed support until he “sees the bill.” He said that at noon EST today on Stephanopolus. He will lose this election unless he comes out against it. There is no ACORN benefits in the actual bill, supposedly. That has been removed, fyi.

He's already against at least the $700 billion part of the bailout. You are aware of what he did and said upon his return to Washington, right? Senate Pubs and Dems had worked something out, McCain told the room he wouldn't vote for a deal just to vote for a deal and it had to be the right bill, and the room erupted. The Senate GOP was ready to sell us out and McCain threw in with the House Republicans.

“He will lose this election unless he comes out against it.”

Why do you say that?

There will be a bailout package of some sort, and McCain has stated from the start that he would sign a bill if it met certain conditions.

So he won’t be doing anything that he didn’t state from the git-go.

I for one will not hold him accountable for a mess that was created by the dems! Especially considering the fact that he tried to get legislation to resolve this very situation and the dems defended their corruption to this end!!!

From McCain/Palin September 24, 2008:

“Last Friday, I laid out my proposal and I have since discussed my priorities and concerns with the bill the Administration has put forward. Senator Obama has expressed his priorities and concerns. This morning, I met with a group of economic advisers to talk about the proposal on the table and the steps that we should take going forward. I have also spoken with members of Congress to hear their perspective.”

“I am confident that before the markets open on Monday we can achieve consensus on legislation that will stabilize our financial markets, protect taxpayers and homeowners, and earn the confidence of the American people. All we must do to to achieve this is temporarily set politics aside, and I am committed to doing so.”

McCain is waiting to ensure that BO does not get to his right on this issue by denouncing it at the last minute.

Patience.

Senator Sessions also said that there was still ACORN money in the bill and that Senator McCain would not support it until he had read the entire bill -— which does not appear to exist as one has seen the bill!

He also said that Senator McCain is one of the few who actually reads all of the bills.
