How much would pay for a housing project where the facilities are crap and you can be sued, where tenants refuse to pay and refuse to leave, where you are in physical danger, and where the press and opposition party are determined to represent you as the bad guy? I wouldn't pay anything. You couldn't pay me enough to take on that property.

This has become so abstract that I have no clue as how the government, or anyone else, should value these assets. In ignorance, I am very tempted to say “let the house of cards fall.” We have a profit and loss system. Perhaps now it's time for the losses. Great depression? Just another scare of the day, along with global warming-cooling, nuclear meltdowns, oil spills, hurricanes, tyranny through the Patriot Act, etc.

We ceased having a profit and loss system when the Reno Justice Department threatened financial institutions with red-lining. When the institutions caved and began the worthless paper shuffle backed by taxpayers, there was no longer a profit and loss system, only a democrat engineered socialist cesspool.
