FICA is social security, not income tax. The republicans are talking about FEDERAL income tax, not state or local, but your federal income tax. Most of the low income people get tax credits and do not pay the federal income tax.

There are many more 'closet country club' Democrats than Republicans.

I think you are very wrong here. As I indicated, I paid FIT (Federal Income Tax) and State Income Tax even as a single mother with two kids and earned income tax head of household status. I think you just want to believe poor people don’t pay taxes.
