Obama supports his party and he has nothing to do with the GOP plan so if that gets passed he can't take credit, but McCain can and will.

He better, dammit. He has taken huge political risks this week and it isn't yet clear that this will all eventually work out in his favor. But if it's a clean bill with no ACORN or other crap and is otherwise acceptable to the House GOP, it's a big win for him. Or at least it should be.

I don't think Michelle Malkin is gonna be happy about it. She's against a bailout, period. As am I. But ideological purity, I suspect, is going to take a back seat to political needs. They all have them in Washington.
