The most practical solution should be as follow:

1. Cut the Paulsen money bailout by half of the current amount.

2. Enact most if not all of the Republicans bailout alternative.

Well, getting half a loaf isn’t going to be good enough for some on here. They’ll protest and threaten to vote for Obama if a compromise goes through rather than allow a stock market crash that will be blamed squarely on McCain and the GOP.
