Shocking..........
Okay, this is OT, but an artistic intervention is needed.
WRITE!!!!!!!
YES, YOU!!!
That was a lovely story, and I was a little sad when it was over, as brief as it was.
Please do us all a favor and WRITE!
Then ping me to it when you do. Whether its on a personal blog or self-published work — or you could take my advice, write it and sell it. Any editor with a brain could see your talent.
My hubs can’t touch his 401k unless he leaves the company or applies for a “loan” from it - that must be repaid with interest.
I told him last night to bend over and not expect a kiss.
I’m about ready to start burying mason jars.

Thanks for the ping. I watched the presser on CNN late last night and was incensed at the way the dems tried to act like all the ‘breakthroughs’ were due to their work. CNN was only parroting Dem talking points. At one point, the reporterette even said: ‘KEY DEMOCRATS working all night with huh..well...a few republicans...”
Schumer had this evil looking grin on his face...Pelosi, as always, acted like she was queen(even though Frank is the real ‘queen’)....Reid was insufferable to watch or listen to...Dodd looked like he belonged in jail! They all belong in jail!
God Bless The House Republicans!
God Save Our Country from the Democrats!
Hell, you act like you're in the war-zone of Chicago. ;)
Be careful over there and safely come back home.
don’t worry, there were house pubs with pelosi and reid when they made their announcement.......but today is a new day
bump
I”ve been thinking about it; stories based on things my dad used to say to me and words that have stuck in my head even when they didn’t make sense at the time - just the mutterings of a weathered machinist with grimy nails, sweaty clothes and a fondness for beer that rocked him to sleep one night too many.
The last time I saw him, he stood there straight and proud upon his back, that stern, worn face unmoving as he watched the lid close on an uneventful life.
Maybe, someday.
Thanks, Ken
