Last night McCain could have won the election, and possibly won the congress back for Republicans if he would have denounced the bailout, offered conservative solutions to the problem, and hung the 700 billion bailout around 0bama's, the democrat's, and Bush's neck. It would have been a stroke of brilliance, and would have been a rallying point for the voters and conservatives. It was a missed opportunity.

McCain is not a movement conservative and no one expected him to be Ronald Reagan. He was never big on ideology. But its also clear he isn't the believer in Big Government that Bush has been.
