No major gaffes by bambi, but McCain gives the impression of a seasoned and accomplished giant and Obama gives the impression of an empty defensive talking point.
Obama on defense the whole time.
Not a good night for Obama.
McCain looked like a seasoned statesman.

Agree with your assessment.
McCain is also very knowledgeable about the intricacies of world politics much better than I have heard any politician in some time.
With Obama, he just keeps coming back to Bin Laden as though he is the only threat we face.

My favorite part was when McCain went on that amazing discourse about what the situation is in each of the former Soviet Republics, and BO could only respond with, "Well, sure we agree on that stuff."
I wish McCain had replied, "So you agree on that, then repeat it back to me."

With all due respect to a veteran FReeper, I disagree on the gaffe.
I had an OsamaObama supporter over and he left before it was over without much enthusiasm.
The “I’ve got a bracelet, too” remark is sure to leave a mark.

"Obama on defense the whole time."Eh, eh. The Osama spinners, after the campaign speaches, said, "McCain was on the defense all night. He had to keep defending his record."

No major gaffes by bambi????.....
By now you probably have heard about the Kissinger gaffe. He misrepresented Kissinger in his statements and McCain held him to the pavement on it. Kissinger has come out o McCains side on it.
