Summary of Obama's debate performance tonight: "I've got a bracelet, too."
PBS ^ | 9/26/2008 | PBS

Barack was the very junior senator on the defensive the entire evening.

After John McCain eloquently (and without notes) discussed the bracelet he wears given to him by the mom of a dead Iraq war vet.

Trying to prove his own support for the troops, Obama chimed in with a pathetic "I've got a bracelet, too," as he looked down at his notes to read the name of the soldier.

He didn’t look at his notes, he was reading from the bracelet itself! At least that’s what it looks like in the video snips I’ve seen on youtube tonite!

It’s sort of creepy the way he takes credit for things he didn’t do - and more than likely didn’t even support the efforts of others.

I seriously believe he’s not in touch with reality.

...another line this puppet uses that irks me to no end is the line...”you know what?”...or “guess what?”.
“You know what?”..is something your hear from a 5 year old on Christmas morning when he wants to show you his present.

Fox seems to be trending leftward much more of late.

The Braclet Moment is a perfect distillation of 0bama.
Fraudulent concern that is little more than political posturing.
He has a bracelet, but he doesn’t even know the name on it.
But we’re supposed to believe that he really, really cares.

As far as Obama’s bracelet comment, I have to say that it seemed so contrived like his entire campaign. The logo, the plane, the Obama seal that looked like a presidential seal (what McCain alluded to) is so contrived. Obama is a walking media construct.

Do you really expect the MSM/Drivebys would ever call a win for a Republican? The truth is their spin doesn't matter as much as it once used to. Their monopoly is gone and their lies are just not credible.

McCain is a RINO, a sellout on the border, and sucks on a lot of issues, but one thing he DOES have is that he is GENUINE.

But BOY, that Obama is a phony. I bet all of America can smell it now. Starting with the small towns in Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa and Missouri. Those kinds of places. They know phonies.

I have an Aunt who is 85 and lost her eyesight at age 23 due to Glaucoma.

She can listen to certain people, and then tell me later they are “phonies”. I have known her all my life, and she said the same thing 50 years ago. The funny thing is that she is usually right. She has the gift of perception.

And she knew Obambi was a phony the first time she ever heard him.

“CBS featured only one citizen reaction, a man who touted Obama and compared McCain to Nixon, before ending with a quickie poll (neither ABC or NBC had one) that found twice as many “uncommitted voters” thought Obama won (40 percent) than McCain (22 percent).”

Obama could have stuttered like Porky Pig for the entire debate, and the msm will claim he won.

It is called charlatanism.

The big issue this year will be, have the American People been dummed down to the point of not being able to detect charlatanism when it is right in it's face.

Detection takes the senses as well as intellect. Dumbing down, in a mass sense, destroys both of those gifts.

Let's see what the Americans do/////

I don’t think Obama did all that great. Problem is, he didn’t fall apart either or blather in incoherent sentences as many here predicted he would. I think McCain won the debate on substance and experience but OHB held his own and that’s not a good thing. McCain needed a KO and instead won a decision. I thought McCain would bury Barrack in this debate but that never happened and I am pretty nervous that “undecideds” may look on this and think that OBH won or had a draaw.

Yup. And considering foreign policy is supposed to be McCains greatest strength, even a tie or close second for Obama is as good as a win. I dread seeing the polls after this.
