My drink back in the day . . . which was a wednesday, I think . . . was jack straight from the bottle but, now it is a nice gin and tonic or a vodka martini.
Back in the day...
We didn’t have a “day”. It was whatever day we could get on the lake. Usually the weekend. And R&C with a lime was it, baby. It was a summer resort town so we had young things to “acclimate” to the area. Boy, that was long ago.
A lot has changed since then. Today, it’s a Woodford, Elijah Craig or Basil Hayden’s on ice on the weekend. I’ve learned to enjoy instead of imbibe.
WOOHOO! As soon as my kid gets here with my car, I’m hitting the liquor store for Captain, ice and a bottle of coke. OK, maybe some beer, too.
