Over on F & F they’re doing a fact check on some of the statements made in the debate- showing that obama did indeed vote for an income tax increase for single people making over $40K. Also- McCain was wrong in saying how much earmarks had grown in the last few years- apparently earmarks have gone down..

Now Kristol on giving debate advice to Palin..

Bill O’Reilly will join Bill Bennett at the bottom of the hour.

I cannot imagine what that’s all about.

Dodd insists that McCain coming to DC was nothing but political theater and he badly slowed things down.

Joe says he is just so very glad that someone smart and grownup like Dodd is behind closed doors working on this thing.

I heard Dodd say the bill they have now is essentially the same bill they had last Thursday morning.

They have done an outstanding job on ACORN- every day, several times a day.

Charlie Gasparino- one of the only somewhat sane voices on CNBC- just got into a fight with Steve Liesman about the bill.

Gasparino says- this bill was crafted by Dems in cooperation with Paulson, this is NOT a Republican bill as the Dems keep insisting. He’s furious about it and the way it’s being portrayed.

It got ugly.

I think we cannot be too hard on the “lack” of GOP past statments/actions.. would be know about them?

Which we could have a “Dream of Jeannie” moment.. she would wiggle her nose & ALL journalists who are NOT candid would disappear.

We are all frustrated & furious over the biased, lying coverage & the lies & misrepresentation coming from RATS leadership.

From all I can tell, this is a terrible idea presented by Paulson to which the dems added even more horrible things (money for ACORN, labor union officials on corporate boards, etc.), which the Republicans then took out and put in some reasonable protections.

Gerri Ferraro just said on F & F ,Dodd & Franks are not to blame, but rather the President & no over site.

Good points- my anger is at the GOP right NOW for not giving the rest of the truth to the public. The libs are writing the story in the public mind- bad Republicans, bad, evil, greedy- ALL REPUBLICANS FAULT.

The facts tell an entirely different story.

Our guys are not getting the reality on the airwaves. This is an awful mistake.

One thing Obama said yesterday caught my attention so much I put it in my tagline.

Poor President Bush has to put the lipstick on this pig when these people smiling are the ones who caused this mess. I'm glad to see the House Republicans showing some resistance. Ultimately they may have to go along.

Well I guess the world didn't end overnight so I've got to get to work. Anyone who's watching this unfold on TV please post any important updates for us stuck in our cubicle.

Here's an interesting little tidbit. You've heard at least one "republican" call for Sarah Palin to step aside. Her name is Kathleen Parker. As one FReeper discovered she's has her own little agenda for wanting that. "McCain dumps Palin and picks Romney" . So she attempts to discredit Sarah to hump Romney. Grrr. Maybe that's Peggy Noonan's problem also.
