Why are corporations allowed to give money to politicians at all. They are not people, therefor have no first amendment rights, call it what it is BRIBERY!

Actually, in the eyes of the law, corporations are "legal beings" and as such have rights. However, what should have been investigated and PROHIBITED is lobbying by government sponsored entities (GSE) such as Fannie/Freddie. The implied backing by the Treasury presents them as a "special case" and given that, their "rights" should have been limited.
