I care. I’m for equal treatment before the law, no matter where you’re from. Treat reasonable human beings reasonably humanely.
There’s no reason why we shouldn’t have visitors to the country check in in an emergency, or even periodically the check their credentials. Interestingly enough, the people involved in this particular case all have been deported for discrepancies in their visitor status.
How would it be inhumane in asking anyone not a citizen and who as a non-citizen has no Constitutional rights to register? Under US laws I don’t think everyone is equal in all regards... citizens and non-citizens are different. We are talking about registering not courtesy or kindness. They were not asked to under go surgery. Should I ever travel to another country I would hardly be offended to be asked to register. After 9/11 it is foolish for anyone not a citizen to be allowed free travel in the US with no monitoring of who they are or where they are!

But this country, as are all Christian/Judeo countries—is under attack from a crowd of muslim fundamentalist terrorists. The have threated to kill Americans, they have been caught planning to kill Americans and they have killed Americans—on or own soil. Which part of “we intend to convert or enslave/kill all of you” do you not believe?
The precautions that are being taken are no different than were imposed in WW II. In fact, they are less stringent because we are not sending a targeted group to resettlement centers this time around.
It is my sincere hope that you never are harmed by one of these people you care so much about. You should think about that. 9/11 really did happen. Real people were killed just for showing up to work. Real people jumped out windows to their deaths to escape being burned alive. And real people defended themselves—and others not on the aircraft—by crashing it into a field near Pittsburgh, PA. And what about the US and other Coalition soldiers who are dying and being maimed so you can take this sanctimonious position. My son’s been in harm’s way four times. He’s been shot at and he’s killed so you can sit there and spout your nonesense.
