Smaller govt results in a more effective govt during emergencies. But since we load up on pork and entitlements, it is much harder to deal with a financial crisis.

If you think goverment is involved only ten percent of the time, I have a bridge to sell you. Our own state, for example, now has a gas shortage because of anti-gouging price controls. I have ever rejected all government involvement, nor did Ron Paul. I reject federal involvement in contrast to McObama.
