They are probably going to find out that this guy has done a lot more crimes than just hacking into Sarah Palin’s e-mail.

I agree. They need to make an example of this kid. The left has gotten completely out of control with its behavior and needs to be reigned in by some grownups.

“... a party was in progress. Kernell and his friends reportedly fled the apartment when agents arrived ...”

Too bad it wasn't an arrest warrant, as he'd have been charged with evasion too. But I'm sure his flight will work against him in his trial.

Maybe the punk will roll over and drop a dime on whoever put him up to it, if he hasn’t already.

I doubt anyone put him up to it.

Besides, if Gov. Palin had already read the e-mail and left it there, it's no longer considered in the "communication" pipeline, according to DoJ SCA guidelines...so it's not like an intercepted message.

So they could go for CFAA misdemeanor prosecution, maybe felony.

As for civil, I don't know what loss Gov. Palin could demonstrate.

But then again, IANAL.

That white t-shirt picture with the messy locks and poof of chest hair reminds me of the Khalid Sheikh Mohammed pictures.
