If such an incident occurred in front of officials of the Bush administration, it would have constituted a foreign policy breach and would have been front-page huge news. Only in the National Enquirer....

If true, then it’s more proof that W is the worst partisan leader ever.

Obama was quoted saying he did this in a NYT article this past summer.

Yeah, a “State Dept” rep is going to rat out Obama. He probably put him up to it. Also, exactly why would the Iraqi minister make that up.

Naturally they don’t say who these two “officials” are.

Bush is really joke. Maybe he can go out with his father and give another murdering communist a liberty medal. It would be a huge stretch to assume Bush would be competent enough to know if his policy was being undermined.
To: zimfam007
Someone get the quote of the nObama spokesHole stating that HE DID say it! The spokesHole really stepped in it, if this is what they get Lugar to come out and say.
THAT SHOULD BE THE BIGGER STORY NOW!

To many “ifs” in the article. Still leaves things wide open on the subject.

The W “new tone,” or “let the Dems win,” kept the Clintonistas out of prison and removed the GOP from the congressional majority.
Other than the WOT,the W legacy will be judged by history as the most incompetent since Jimmy Carter and the most damaging since LBJ.Give me BJs in the Oval Office anyday!
Will there be any America left for the future President Palin to save?

Here's my big problem with stories like this. 1. There are no names to refer to in regard to these two, count them, two unnamed sources. 2. The bogus way that two, count them two, represents an entire collective group cracks me up. This is similar to skewed bias polling when a new article says... CONSERVATIVE WOMAN ABANDON McCain PALIN.. The heading is so highly misleading when you read the actual story and find out 1 count it, 1 conservative woman was interviewed and said she would be voting Obama so suddenly all conservative women are abandoning McCain. I swear the Media and all those related are so out of control in this election they are absolutely useless. Until Bush himself comes out saying how he feels about this I'm not allowing two, count them, two un named sources to define his thoughts on this. Especially when this is coming from ABC

I guess these two Bush officials had their ears against the wall listening to a private conversation between Maliki and Obama.

I don’t think Bush is always on the ball, but let’s give him a break. This is a bogus story, based on two “anonymous Bush officials,” i.e., absolutely any of the millions of people working in the government.
If it wasn’t entirely made up by the writer of this story.
