I think what Bernhard meant was that any good-looking white woman (or black or hispanic woman with a white man) would be a target for gang-rape by racist blacks or illegal immigrants anywhere in the US.
How does race factor into this in the first place? Trying to tell us something?

I know a lot of black guys are that upstanding citizens of the community... they would be offended with this statement... for sure!

I guess this is what Obama meant when he told his supporters to get in people’s faces.
What Sandra Bernhard doesn’t realize is that the gang-rape comment is not a condemnation of Sarah Palin but of black men. Ms. Bernhard has accidentally let slip her real view of them: that they are nothing more than sex-crazed animals who are incapable of controlling their urge to commit horrible acts of rape and violence. It’s rare nowadays to see racism exhibited so openly and with such self-righteousness.
People like Sandra Bernhard are always threatened by regular, everyday people who find success and happiness. It undermines the liberal contention that conventionalism doesn’t work.
I’d ask her to take a long look in the mirror and ask herself why she is so angry, but that would be cruel and unusual punishment.
