Agree! If this doesn’t scare us, not sure what will. I think everyone wanted for Obama to beat Hillary...but look what we end up with as a candidate. I truly believe though this will be a blow out by McCain.

Yep! We’ll have to ride this out for a few days. McCain wasted a lot of time blaming generic “Wall Street greed” for the meltdown, when he should have been blaming Franklin Raines, Dodd, Schumer, Barney Frank, and others for the crisis. He slipped back into his old mode of “working with the Democrats to solve the problem” rather than noting that the Democrats caused the problem in the first place.
He seems to have turned that around today in his campaign speeches, but he’ll have to go on the attack now in a series of TV ads. This should have been done two days ago, but fortunately it’s not too late to get them up and running now.
I’m sorry to sound like a defeatist, but I feel like right now that the election is lost. Barring an absolutely colossal blunder by Obama in the debates, there is just no way that McCain can overcome the massive out of control media in this race.
We can see how the media stepped up their attacks and distortions after the convention bounce. Imagine how bad it will be if McCain performs better in the debates.
I wish I felt differently.

You’re right about that. A candidate like Obama would have been considered unthinkable even twenty years ago. We’ve deteriorated a lot as a nation.
Maybe the decline for McPain set in again when he “offered” Oprah’s Obama a Cabinet post? If Obama is to be in the Cabinet, why not at the top them, voters may be saying?
Palin’s been hit really hard recently. She survived the Gibson interview but didn’t help herself. She did better with Hannity last night and that may help her a bit.
It also doesn’t help that McCain for some reason has gone into a shell this week. The GOP response to the financial crisis has been horrible. They are letting Obama’s team define the crisis and it’s inexcusable because the GOP can win the argument if presented properly. They are tip-toeing right now and I don’t get it.
I don’t quite understand why so many people on this board are putting their faith in the “polls.” They have been wrong for 8 years because of the “push polling” that needs to be done by the leftist media. Obama has to raise money and cannot do it unless he is ahead or close in the polls.
The way the Dems are acting they know they are down against McCain/Palin. Why do you think the attacks have gone up so much?
This will be a close election because of the Dem Vote Fraud Machine but if conservatives continue to stay energized Obama will be a small footnote in American politics in November.
McCain knows he has lost the lead. He is back on the attack again today (finally).
We are headed for another razor close election, but I still really like our chances.
It’s not going to sink in if the media doesn’t put it out there....and they are not.
It’s up to us to keep pounding on it.

ARG Polls Show Danger Signs For Obama - Democrats Defecting
ARG is out with a bevy of national and state polls in the past few days which are interesting, to say the least. In the national numbers (note: scroll down to Sep 16th item) McCain is up 48-45, a 9 point shift since the end of August. But the internals are really interesting for Obama: McCain has gained 14 points with Democrats and Obama has lost 13 points! No wonder team Obama is worried.
This is important - the poll shows a large defection from Team Obama, and nearly all of them are going to McCain instead of stopping in the ‘undecided’ column. McCain is now getting nearly 20% of Dems! And the numbers are too large to be a sampling error problem. The size can be argued, but not the movement. And it looks to be women doing the moving:
I am also befuddled about why people pay attention to changes in polls. The pollsters can manipulate the “data” any way they want to make news. They only play it straight close to Election Day in order to demonstrate the historical accuracy of their polls.

i was a bit concerned but after seeing McCain back on offense this morning i am all giddy and excited again!
this particular sample is already outdated...its going to be a few better nights for McCain.
Why don’t you take a look at some of the einstein comments by Obama supporters under the You Tube video of the football player who hates the National Anthem and tell me how many of those registered voters are going to remember to vote on election day.
