Five-hundred Muslim workers walked off the job Monday at a Grand Island meatpacking plant after they say they were denied time to pray during the Muslim observance of Ramadan.
More than 100 workers at a Greeley Swift plant were fired last week because the company said they walked away from work before their shifts ended.

No bacon, no pay.
I think the issue is in hiring. When you hire someone who is a Muslim - it’s somewhat common knowledge that you may be faced with this, so before you hire 500, you may want to consider either a) allowing for the holiday or b) not hiring 500 Muslims. It’s really pretty simple.
Buh Bye
..a Christian isn't allowed to wear any jewelry symbolic of their faith to work ...
..at Christmas they're not allowed to sing Christmas carols or reference the season in this respect...
..but the Muslims are raising a stink if they can't 'pray' 5 times a day (& disrupt their company's work schedule) because it's Ramadan!
Let's see how this one develops....
What effect would it have if a candidate for president or, for that matter, a conservative senator, proposed a law, modeled on the anti-trust laws, that would give the workers whom the Muslims replaced in the first place the right to sue for triple damages and counsel fees? Perhaps, as with the District of Columbia Consumer Protection Procedures Act, punitive damages could be added on top of the treble damages and counsel fees for particularly egregious decisions to harm Americans in the jobs in favor of Muslims or illegal Hispanics. How long would it take for the mass hirings of such cheap labor to stop? What if the law we suggest also gave the same right to competitore who, not being willing to adopt such labor practices, kept on using regular Americano workers? What if the disadvantaged competitors and the displaced workers could jointly sue for treble damages, counsel fees and punitive damages if the decision wss deliberate? How long would it take for such practices to stop if there were a really possibility of such law suits?
Hmmm..makes note to pass over Swift Meats, especially a company with "disgruntled meat packers".
Same thing happened in Greeley, Co. Looks like a ‘soft jihad’ action.
I have a real concern about sanitation...do they wear their long garb in the plant?
If they go in and out to pray and are on the floor, what kind of sanitation can you have with that???!!!!!!
This is outrageous.. Clearly, they don’t want to do the job.
How is it discrimination to want to run your business in a business like way?
this is part of their systematic deconstruction of our culture...
No way would a Christian get to break for ANYTHING in ANY muslim country....
sheeeeesh.
And eeeeeeeeewwwwwwwww to those clothes....on the floor....
Yeah..., I love the smell of burning muslims in the morning!
“Damn...the time in my life I wish I could say something in muslim...”
derga derga, Mohamed Jihad !!!
500 Muslims are working at a meatpacking plant? Geez, what a great opportunity for one of them to “taint” some meat with some sort of desease to “make food war upon the infidels.” I hope someone at DHS has an eye on this because to me their presents in that industry represents a potential danger to the American people.
For the shorter term, I’d tell them they can have time off to pray but all 500 of you are being transfered to the bacon and sausage production area of the plant. Also, as a reassignment gift they each get a big bag of pork rines.
And then send a few buses to Wall Street to pick up a lot of guys who suddenly need a job. :)
From the post above this one on the Forum..”the Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune and other company newspapers have cut hundreds of jobs in an effort to balance expenses amid falling advertising revenue”. ............................... So where is the problem? There is work available for them now that the Muslims left the job.
And they are working there, why??
Keep walking, right on back to Somalia.
In NC there are many convenience stores that have restaurants inside, that are operated by Jordanians, Iraqis and other Muslims. Most of us are smart enought to avoid eating there, and others are just “business as usual”...what part of “there is no telling what they could put in your food” don’t they understand? We are the infidels last time I looked.
Question: Why is it that you can’t circumcise a Muslim meat packing plant worker?
Answer: There’s just no end to those pri*ks.
