The success of the pro-life GOP ticket blows a hole in the RINO theory. A ticket with a socially conservative, pro life mom should not have any appeal to New Jersey voters. Yet if the polls are to believed, half of them are attracted to the GOP. What was that again about the GOP winning if it sold out it pro-life position just to win an election?
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
I agree that an uncompromising pro-life stance is a long-term winner for the GOP.
But whenever NJ produces a good pro-life GOP candidate for state office, he is strangled in his cradle by the countryclubbers in the county GOP organizations - a la Brett Schundler.
