She sounds strong, but needs to slow down a bit. Needs to let the audience have fun and respond to what she says. The audience just loves her.
She needs to lose the Jet and Bridge....
Yeah, I think so too.
Biden up now. Pandering to UAW. Doom and gloom, doom and gloom, doom and gloom. yawn.
Definitely a "populist" message -- (paraphrasing) we will make sure that these companies are managed for the public good and that failing CEO's don't get away with a parachute, and that the taxpayers don't get stuck with bailing them out.
Sounds line Teddy Roosvelt's hard line with the monopolies. But how do they plan to do this, more and more regulations???
Can I vote for Todd? :-)
Sure...write him in somewhere.
Not watching...please don’t tell me she AGAIN used her “thanks but no thanks” and “I out it on eBay” lines!
She did...but most everything else so far has been new.
Worked out with McCain division of labor: She’s going to be in charge of energy, security, reform and programs for persons with special needs.
What a natural!
If she keeps them, should expand upon the bridge and the plane with the facts. Dems and the media are watching every speech, and those have lost the applause they had the first time.
Both are great examples of waste that other politicians would never refuse, no matter if she was for the bridge first or if the stupid plane sold some other way.
Almost completely new speech
At least she isn't flip-flopping on the comments she's already made. She's talking about the economy, and what is going on in Washington. She's doing just fine. She upbeat, forceful and the people are cheering her wildly.
On the other hand, Joe Biden is in Michigan, speaking about how some of the businesses in Delaware have had to close after so many years. He sounds depressed, and talking about George W. Bush's promise to reach across the aisle, and how he promised to bring respect to the White House. He's talking about the home foreclosures, job losses, the 46 million people uncovered by health care, a military stretched thin, multiple deployments, a country more polarized than any he's seen in his career. He's also pushing that a McCain Presidency will be just another Bush Presidency. He belittles McCain and then talks about how great a friend McCain is to him. Compared to Sarah's speech, you'd think you were at a funeral with Joe Biden.
She’s just... great. Great.
We MUST win.
I disagree. Keep the jet and bridge. Those make the nutroots’ heads explode!
I thought she was great and sounded fresh with a few new lines. I especially liked the part about her sister’s gas station and Todd’s parents’ hardware store.
Biden...egads. Gloom, Doom, Gloom, Dooooooooom.
I like it....their polls will sink even further.
Sheesh. Mary’s tuition, mom’s MRI, heating the house.
Is Biden saying the government should pay for all that?! Well, of course. He’s a Rat.
Tina, Tina, Tina...
(whoops, wrong day and channel!)
She’s honoring all the vets in the audience. I remember McCain used to do that in the 2000 campaign. She’s a natural, and a perfect compliment to McCain.
If you’ve been so unhappy with her speeches on the stump, have you written the McCain campaign to voice your opinion?
New tactic:
Watch how many times Biden calls him “John”.
Up til now they’ve always called him Senator McCain or John McCain. I can’t recall a single instance where they called him “John”.
Must have focus-grouped that one.
(And if Biden want to talk about Katrina, someone ask him how he happened to only donate $300 to charity that year!)
