This is a good thing.

Palin and other conservatives are made stronger as candidates by the harsher and more intense scrutiny they receive.

Obama and other Democrats are demonstrably made weaker by the lack of scrutiny and vetting they receive.

Darwin. Natural selection. Whatever the results of this election, we win in the long run.

As far as Palin in particular. Whatever doesn't kill her, makes her stronger, as she has already repeatedly demonstrated.

Charlie Gibson's Palin interview. Obama/Biden's ads. Olbermann/Matthews commentary. CNN/MSNBC anchor/pundit commentary in the 48-hour period after Palin VP announcement. Average DNC speaker. Typical DU posting.

I've spent years listening to liberals, considering their opinions and positions, evaluating their conduct and their arguments. Here's my conclusion.

Liberals, as a group, are godless, immoral, arrogant, ignorant and hateful.

To Obama:
I’m curious about your feelings last night....What did your grandmother say?....do you say to yourself: “Son of a gun, I’ve done this?....And finally your daughters. What did they say to you?

To Palin:
Can you look the country in the eye and say “I have the experience and I have the ability to be not just vice president, but perhaps president of the United States of America?”.....Didn’t that take some hubris?...Are those sufficient credentials?...head of state...Ever met one?..... I got lost in a blizzard of words there. Is that a yes?

Laughable.

Sarah proved she’s qualified to be President, from Day One.

Obambi proved he’s unqualified, unprepared, and nothing more than a schoolyard bully.

I’m of the opinion that the treachery and intentional trashing of Republican candidates needs to be exposed to all Americans. Those guilty of slanting the news to support their candidate needs to be exposed and not tolerated. The American people can do that by contacting their sponsors and not supporting them. Distorting the truth is a game of reprehensible liars and cheats. The drive-by media dishonors all the brave Americans that died to keep this country free. These media slimes aren’t worthy of their sacrifice.

Wow, Charlie Gibson really put the heat on Hussein, didn’t he? Oh, wait...that was in a parallel universe. Here, in the real world, he just sucked up to him.

Liberals cannot win through the value of their convictions so for them destruction of good people is the only way they can win. Sarah refused to partake in their sacrament of abortion and they hate her for not only being a conservative but for reflecting back into their face the evil of their own convictions.

Obama is handed nothing but fluff questions - feel good questions, while Palin is put through a meat grinder. Who might be a stronger leader after going through these exchanges? I’m putting my money on Palin.

“But then are you sending your son on a task that is from God?”

That one is a real beauty. Like her son didn’t decide himself? Is Charlie insinuating that Sarah was told by God to “send” her son to Iraq?

They really don’t understand the God thing. They equate God to hearing voices or Santa Clause. Pitiful.

Hubris: excessive pride or self-confidence; arrogance Main Entry: hu·bris Listen to the pronunciation of hubris Pronunciation: \ˈhyü-brəs\ Function: noun Etymology: Greek hybris Date: 1884 : exaggerated pride or self-confidence So what was he referencing to? She was asked, not seeking, the office of the vice president. Does Charlie understand the meaning of the word? Did he just learn the word? She has self confidence, but not excessive pride. She was asked. Obama, on the other hand, has been seeking, striving, projecting himself for higher office from the beginning because of excessive pride, arrogance and selfishness

"...amid the frenzied enthusiasm of the crowd..."

"...more frenzied acclaim. Again and again Hitler had to pause until his audience exhausted itself in shouts of 'heil.'"

"...millions of Germans were applauding, for its tenor was also the general German sentiment. Propaganda has insured that."

International Reaction to Hitler's Speech
New York Times
September 13, 1938

Thank God for the millions of Americans who think for themselves and resist the relentless, ceaseless, ubiquitous, ruthless propaganda bombarding them constantly from The Democrat Party Propaganda Machine, also known as the "Mainstream Newsmedia", the "Corrupt Newsmedia", et al.

Nevertheless, it is frightening that millions of Americans allow themselves to be influenced by this Propaganda Machine.

The conversion of the American Free Press into this Propaganda Machine is one of the most dangerous events in U.S. history--a truthfully informed electorate being essential to representative government.

Those susceptable to this propaganda--i.e. people who cannot or will not think for themselves--would elect a monster like Hitler to power today if he were packaged appropriately--i.e. as a rockstar--and presented with sufficient propaganda.

Look - I thought the Gibson interview with Palin was condescending, but let's be rational about this.

This interview with Obama was after he clinched the nomination after a 12 month battle. That's not when you ask hard-hitting policy questions - Obama had his positions questioned and he explained them throughout the debates.

The Palin interview, on the other hand, was her first major interview. I don't expect "How does your mom feel about this?" type questions when she hasn't faced a single interview regarding policy.

Listen - Gibson was a d*ck and the editing was purposefully, but to compare these two interviews is a false exercise.
