I’ve been bouncing from channel to channel and none of the “news” networks have much in the way of actual damage reports. Have you seen any?

I think it was a CNN reporterette who said that Port Arthur's seawall held--and maybe Beaumont's?
Was flipping btw Fox and CNN--would prefer Fox but the ads about some "enhancement" product plus a lot of Viagra ads just got to me.
Nothing on Galveston yet.

I live north of Houston and would like to know the same thing, a general damage report. We lost power here at about 1 or 2 in the morning so I am using a laptop with an air card at the moment.
Conditions are windy and rainy but it appears that we weathered the storm very well up here -- but keep in mind that observation is based only on what I can see from my limited vantage point.
I'm concerned for those in Galveston and all along the coast who decided to hold out.
