==UPDATE==
9.14.08: I have 16 Houston families, including my own, here as our guests in Key Biscayne-Miami that left before Ike hit. They are staying at my home along at various friends and colleagues homes. Looks like it is going to be weeks before power is restored.

09.28.08: All 16, except one, have been able to return home. Houston-Galveston is still a major mess. Many area homes and businesses suffer very serious toxic mold problems.

That’s so sad ... having to leave is bad
enough, but to know what you’ll likely
face and to actually go back to such stress,
is so tough and painful.

What do you think they’ll do .. stay or
leave?

I can’t imagine that area will come back
any time soon. Prayers for all the suffering
folks. Your family/friends are so blessed to
have had your kindnesses and refuge. Good
guy .. for sure .. ;).
