So, the Pass isn’t really a pass thru .. from the Gulf inland.
You see paved highway right there.

Right... The large satellite picture shows the bridge over the pass (relief water channel) as being damaged - buckled) but I don’t believe it is a lift bridge for boats and such.

This picture is looking to the west (the house would be on this side of the channel closet to the camera) - The East Bay on the right and the Gulf is on the left in this picture. The house may have been built when this picture was taken.
